IMPROVING WASTE MANAGEMENT FOR BREWERIES

Project Overview

As you know breweries generate a wide variety of waste materials, from organic waste like spent grain and trub, to packaging waste such as pallet wrap and grain bags, and often food waste from onsite catering. 

EC was engaged by Heaps Normal to improve Pallet Wrap and recycling outcomes. Outcomes:

 

- Saved 55% on annual waste costs​
- Diverted ~500kg from Landfill
- Increased recycling rate from 69% to 81%
